Newcastle entrepreneurs Chad Ramage, founder Accessibility in the City, Declan Edwards, founder BU Coaching, and Sahil Harriram, co-founder and CEO Elite Robotics, were part of the group. It was awesome having our city so well represented.
The spirit of collaboration that existed among our cohort, competing for the same prize, was amazing. We dubbed this co-opetative.
Marine Futures Lab took the first prize. When the announcement was made, the entire cohort cheered. Loudly.
Judge Jason Bender, Head of Innovation at Deloitte, summed it up, "What gets measured can be valued. What is of value must be protected".
