Webb, though, was more disappointed in his attack after they lost 5-1 to Hamilton on Saturday night at Darling Street Oval.
"The scoreline didn't reflect the game at all," Webb said.
"We must have had nine chances within four metres of goal but we kept hitting the keeper or the post.
"We should have been home and hosed in the first half."
After adding depth in young talent this year, the Roosters were tipped by many to improve on their eighth-placed finish last season, but a horror start to the year has left last without a point.
Webb said he would have to make changes for Friday's home clash with Adamstown to spark his misfiring attack and he took some solace from wins in the under 18s and 20s against Olympic.
Hamilton coach Peter McGuinness said the victory over Lakes was a tighter affair than the scored indicated but he was pleased with the second-half effort and believed they deserved the win.
McGuinness said Scott Pettit, who scored a hat-trick, was outstanding and Olympic played well in transition.
** Maitland will welcome back Sean Pratt (eye surgery) but could be without Mat Swan for the clash with Edgeworth on Friday at Cooks Square Park.
Swan came off early in the 2-0 win over Charlestown at Lisle Carr Oval on Sunday with a hip injury and coach Mick Bolch expected him to miss a week.
