For coach Damian Zane, though, the work of Will Bower brought the most satisfaction.
Bower scored twice to go top of the Northern NSW NPL scoring list on six but it was his part in Atayde's opening stunner that Zane noted.
Atayde played the ball in and got it back before hitting a brilliant strike into the top corner from distance.
"For a coach, what I enjoyed was that it started with Will Bower chasing and winning the ball," Zane said.
"It was nicely constructed and a beautiful goal from there, but it started with Will.
"He's on fire and it's not surprising for me because it's been four years in the making. It's been a long time coming, but he's starting to vindicate the work we've put into him.
"It will be interesting to see if he can maintain it, but he's always had that X-factor."
Bower scrambled over a loose ball for his first goal and finished off a Josh Rose cross for his second.
McBreen then iced the win late with a thigh-high volley in his first appearance of the year. The former A-League golden boot, who turns 42 next week, has been sidelined with a foot injury.
Zane said defender Mitch Dobson (US college) was back this week ahead of Friday's match at Maitland.
The Eagles (13 points) went top with the win over Rosebud but Jaffas (10) have two games in hand.
