TONY Morley (Letters 20/4) regurgitates the old argument that just because Australia's contribution to the world's greenhouse gases is only 1.2% (it's actually much higher) we shouldn't have to contribute to its reduction. He could equally argue that since him, and every tax payer in Australia, only pays a tiny fraction of the total government revenue they could therefore be excused from bothering to pay tax. Sadly it doesn't work that way, our government funding is the sum of small amounts, just as the world's greenhouse shroud is the sum of all nations with addiction to fossil fuels.
