Fiendishly good burgers on the menu

DAILY LIMIT: The beef patties at Burgerfiend are made daily, which is why they have a daily limit - to make sure that each product consumed is fresh.

Burgers are more popular than ever and the offerings in and around Newcastle are only becoming bigger and better.
But more than ever, the focus is on fresh ingredients, care, attention and creativity when it comes to making a winning burger and serving it with quality sides and great beverages.
In January, Burgerfiend at Cessnock received the Guide's reader choice award, winning the burger category in the Newcastle and Hunter region.
Since opening in 2017, they have kept the menu small (five burgers and a handful of sides), instead focusing on serving good quality burgers every time.
Try the Bellbird with fried chicken, cheddar, bacon, tangy slaw and Sriracha mayo, or The Fiend with beef patty, cheddar, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and Burgerfiend sauce.
Burgerfiend have not only taken Cessnock's burger game to a whole new level, they've also managed to raise the standard of the Valley's milkshake merchandise by diverging from the standard choc-syrup offering over to North American import, Hershey's.
Cocoa flavoured milk never tasted so bitter, so sweet, so... lactescent (it's a word, look it up).
The texture almost strays into thickshake territory... almost. Fiendishly good and much better with a burger.
Burgerfiend is a small local family business created by Marlene and Matthew, a husband and wife team with a simple vision - to produce quality food, specialty coffee and great service.
All their produce is fresh and sourced locally. Beef patties are made from 100% pure Australian beef, minced and hand-formed daily in house whilst their chicken is free range.
They have teamed up with Suspension Espresso for their coffee to ensure that they use ethically sourced beans, locally roasted with skill and consistency.
"Our love and respect for food paired with our extensive hospitality experience has driven us to create Burgerfiend in Cessnock," Marleen said. "A fresher take away alternative. We aim to serve not only quality food in Hunter Valley but also the best coffee in Cessnock and the best coffee in Hunter Valley."
