The Jets duo were among 23 players named by coach Ante Milicic on Tuesday for the 24-team tournament.
It continues an amazing ride for Simon, who was recalled to the Matildas squad last November for the first time since 2017.
The 29-year-old replaced injured Jets teammate Larissa Crummer and performed well in games against Chile.
A specialist left back, she followed her international return with a strong season for the Jets in the W-league, where she was co-captain alongside van Egmond.
She featured in the Cup of Nations where they beat New Zealand (2-0), Argentina (3-0) and South Korea (4-1) and also in a 5-3 loss to the USA in April.
Van Egmond, an industrious midfielder, made her World Cup debut in 2011, scoring a goal in a 3-2 win over Equatorial Guinea and has since earned 85 caps. She is currently playing for the Orlando Pride in the United States.
Former Jets now Sydney FC attacker Chloe Logarzo also made the cut.
Australia's squad for France boasts close to 1,300 caps of international experience, and features numerous players to have attended multiple FIFA Women's World Cups™.
Lisa De Vanna, Clare Polkinghorne, and Lydia Williams have each earned a spot at their fourth FIFA Women's World Cup. Van Egmond joins captain Sam Kerr, Laura Alleway, Caitlin Foord, Elise Kellond-Knight and Tameka Yallop (nee Butt) with three.
Australia, who are ranked No.6, open their group stage against Italy in Valenciennes on June 9 and then meet Brazil (June 13) and Jamaica (June 18).
Former Jets A-League coach Gary van Egmond is the Matildas assistant coach.
The squad will have a pre-cup camp in Turkey and play a friendly against the Netherlands in Eindhoven on June 1.
