"The interest has been enormous and open houses have been very well inspected," Mr Ingham said.
"There's a lot of people who love churches and there has been been a lot of inquiry from Sydney. I'm expecting it to be a well-attended auction, one on behalf of the interest in the property that the local community have and its future use and also I expect it will be well attended by intending bidders."
He said the property, which also has a freestanding hall, offered a range of future uses, subject to council approval, including being a residential property and had also attracted interest as a commercial venture.
It is set for auction on site Saturday at 9am. A price guide has not been disclosed.
