Mr Cordner pleaded not guilty to the charge of reckless grievous bodily harm in January.
He was charged on December 5 after he handed himself in to police following an alleged fight on the footpath outside The Greenroof Hotel at Hamilton three days earlier.
According to court documents, the alleged incident took place about 2.30am and was captured on CCTV footage.
Mr Cordner's lawyer said in March her client planned to claim he was acting in self defence.
Magistrate Eckhold continued his conditional bail on Thursday.
The Herald previously reported the Knights disciplined Saifiti over the incident, handing him a $50,000 fine - half of which was suspended.
