Not only did Landa notch up a double milestone - 150th national league game and 250 career points - but he did so as an Australian resident.
It meant the 35-year-old Czech native was no longer classed as an import player.
The double header in Adelaide also marked his comeback after missing large chunks of the Northstars' 2018 campaign with bouts of concussion.
"I've struggled with my health the last three seasons," Landa said.
"It's hard to describe but it was like waking up with a hangover for four or five weeks every single morning. And just being drained of energy.
"But I've prepared in the off-season and it felt good being back. Obviously I was little bit rusty but I really enjoyed it.
"I've had to change the way I play a little and look after myself a bit more. Hopefully I can stay healthy."
Landa grew up playing ice hockey from a young age in Klando, located around 20 minutes outside of Prague.
He first arrived in Australia in 2007 searching for a "life experience" and started playing with the Sydney Bears.
After meeting and marrying now wife Jessica, the couple remain in the state capital but he joined the Northstars last year.
"I got residency last week so I'm no longer an import, I'm a local player," he said.
Landa had one goal and six assists during back-to-back wins last weekend.
"I had no idea I reached the milestones until afterwards," he said.
Undefeated Australian Ice Hockey League leaders Newcastle host the Melbourne Ice on Saturday (5pm) and Melbourne Mustangs on Sunday (4pm) at Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.
Meanwhile, former Northstars player Zane Jones (2017, 2018) will play for Team Canada during next month's tour of Australia which includes a June 12 stop at Warners Bay.
