BEACH WATCH

Similar conditions to the last couple of days as the high pressure system stays off the coast. Direction of the swell is a touch straight for some of the banks on the lower tide. Swell from the SSE at 1 to 1.5m. Winds light and variable North to S/E to East by the afternoon. The mornings high tide to see the swell peak with clean conditions. Flatrock, Bar Beach, Cliff and Merewether all have some okay waves. Nobbys on the low tide. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. Samurai and One Mile up at Port Stephens. Heavy shorebreaks if swimming early with slight sweeps. Try to swim at patrolled beaches that are open. Water temp 20C. - Dave Anderson
