A new harbourside Stockton listing is being marketed as having "the best views in Newcastle" and interest at its first open house today is expected to be strong from "a multitude of buyers".
Lucas Gresham, of Dowling Wallsend, is selling a spacious ground-floor duplex at 1/1 Maitland Street.
It occupies a large block on the corner of Maitland Street and Wharf Crescent and has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, open plan living, multiple courtyards and a double lock-up garage.
"It's hard to get a spot like that," Mr Gresham said. "Undoubtedly, it is the spot of spots.
"There is nowhere else that gives you that complete, 270-degree view. You can be anywhere in the front of the house and have an entire view. You're just watching the working harbour and it's very peaceful there."
The property is positioned close to the ferry terminal and opposite waterfront reserve.
It is set for auction on June 29 and open for inspection on Saturday at 12.30pm. A price guide is yet to be set with Mr Gresham saying they would "listen to the market".
According to Australian Property Monitors, the median sale price for the harbourside suburb has risen from $720,000 for 69 sales last year to $790,000 for the first 19 sales this year.
That represents growth of 9.7 per cent. Sales have included the suburb high $2.2 million result of 157 Mitchell Street in February, according to domain.com.au.
