A new harbourside Stockton listing is being marketed as having "the best views in Newcastle" and interest at its first open house today is expected to be strong from "a multitude of buyers".

Lucas Gresham, of Dowling Wallsend, is selling a spacious ground-floor duplex at 1/1 Maitland Street.
It occupies a large block on the corner of Maitland Street and Wharf Crescent and has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, open plan living, multiple courtyards and a double lock-up garage.

"It's hard to get a spot like that," Mr Gresham said. "Undoubtedly, it is the spot of spots.
"There is nowhere else that gives you that complete, 270-degree view. You can be anywhere in the front of the house and have an entire view. You're just watching the working harbour and it's very peaceful there."
The property is positioned close to the ferry terminal and opposite waterfront reserve.
It is set for auction on June 29 and open for inspection on Saturday at 12.30pm. A price guide is yet to be set with Mr Gresham saying they would "listen to the market".

According to Australian Property Monitors, the median sale price for the harbourside suburb has risen from $720,000 for 69 sales last year to $790,000 for the first 19 sales this year.
That represents growth of 9.7 per cent. Sales have included the suburb high $2.2 million result of 157 Mitchell Street in February, according to domain.com.au.
Tightly held in Lakeside suburb
From one water view to another, McKiernan Real Estate have listed a property in "old Valentine" that has been in the Sparkes family for around 40 years.
The three-bedroom home on a large, leafy block at 23 Frederick Street enjoys an elevated position with what agent Renee McKiernan described as "really special views" of Lake Macquarie.
It is being marketed with a guide of $650,000 and is open today at 12.15pm.
"We had our first open house last weekend and there's been a lot of interest," Ms McKiernan said. "The view is what everyone is after."
Auction Action
First National Newcastle City will take a five-bedroom, split-level home with a pool at 16 Bolivia Close in Adamstown Heights to auction on site at 11am Sunday with a guide of $940,000 to $1.02 million. It is open Saturday at 10am.

Adamstown surprise package
The piece de resistance of a large family home at 142 Lockyer Street in Adamstown is a luxury upstairs parents' retreat, according to McGrath Newcastle City's Tammy Hawkins.
Ms Hawkins is marketing the three-bedroom residence with a guide of $970,000 to $1.06 million. The upstairs master suite has an ensuite with spa and north-facing balcony with district views.
"It's surprising - the master suite is quite incredible," Ms Hawkins said.
"The whole house was stripped back to the frame around 10 years ago and rebuilt. It's essentially it's a new home in an older style, so it's really quite special."
It is open for inspection Saturday at midday.
Lakeside development
Potential buyers will have the unique experience of a virtual tour of apartments in a new development planned and approved for 54 Charles Street in Warners Bay.
Shaun Elms, of Global Property International, is marketing boutique development Lakeside which will comprise 14 apartments. They will be two and three bedrooms with prices ranging from $499,000 to $700,000.
Construction is expected to begin early next year.
"A unique part of our marketing campaign is the ability to take a virtual tour around the development," Mr Elms said.
"There is a mix of designs that are going to suit a lot of different buyers. Some of the ground floor apartments have an 80 square metre landscaped courtyard. A couple of the three-bedroom apartments are a split design with living and the main bedroom and ensuite on one level and a loft above with two other bedrooms with main bathroom. Some of the two bedrooms are around 110 square metres, so they're quite spacious."
Some offer lake views and there will also be a commercial space for sale.

A north-facing five-bedroom absolute waterfront home with a jetty at 15 Victoria Street in Bonnells Bay is being marketed by Ray White Morisset for $1.295 million.
First National Newcastle City have listed a "reimagined" 1930s three-bedroom home at 45 Everton Street in Hamilton South with a guide of $1.1 million to $1.2 million.
Listings $500k to $1million
Robinson Property are marketing a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment on level eight of Spire, on top of Marketown Shopping Centre, at 802/23 Ravenshaw Street in Newcastle West for $720,000 to $750,000.
Dalton Partners are selling a two-bedroom home in Georgetown at 19 David Street for $625,000.
In Wallsend, Robert Crawford Real Estate have a four-bedroom brick house on 849 square metres of land at 6 Ayrfield Close for $650,000 to $690,000.
An "entry level" home at 25 Stewart Avenue in Hamilton East has been listed by First National Newcastle City with a price guide of $960,000 to $1.05 million.

McGrath New Lambton are selling a three-bedroom brick house at 2 Sarina Street in Maryland for $480,000 to $520,000.
