Do want to see a parade unlike any you've ever seen before? One where the floats actually float? A dazzling spectacular, with all the glitz and flare of carnival, coupled with the optical beauty of Vivid, as the bright lights gently shimmer a top the water? A pure sensory overload?

If the answer is yes, then you can't afford to miss this year's Float Your Boat at Lake Macquarie, which will take place between June 28 and 29. The two night light event holds something for every member of the family.

Float Your Boat will see dozens of boats covered in LED lights and decorations weave their way through the local water ways over two big nights.

The past two years have been a massive success, prompting Council to do it all again this year. It's back by popular demand.

A foreshore livesite at Toronto from 5.30pm-8.30pm will feature music, food stalls and live entertainment, including performances from Circus Avalon.

On Saturday, June 29, the parade will set sail at 6pm from Marmong Point Marina and head north towards Booragul before crossing the lake and skirting its eastern edge from Warners Bay to Belmont.
