Born in Croatia and raised in Newcastle, the psychic medium, author and television personality is best known for her roles in Real Housewives of Melbourne and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - and for marrying Ben Gillies, of Silverchair fame.
"Shine It Up Live is a brand new show. There's new content in every way," she tells Weekender.
"This tour is about delving into the power of the mind and the power of manifestation.
"I have had so many people say to me 'Jackie, how do I attract my best life?'. I touched on it a little bit last season but I didn't show people how to actually communicate what you want from the universe, and how to stay consistent with the energy that you're attracting."
Part of living your best life, she says, is taking responsibility for what's not working.
"I want to show people how to use the tools to turn something around that's not working, for example, a relationship, and to remove themselves from toxic situations. The power of the mind and the power of positivity and the power of affirmations is a real thing. I want to show people how to use what lies in your subconscious mind to attract the things that you're asking for.
"That's where the universe responds, to your subconscious mind, but it starts with your conscious mind. It's all about how to retain these thoughts, knowing that all of your power lies within - and how to use that in a positive way."
Psychic readings will be performed on the night but she's leaving the structure and format "to the universe".
"I'm going to see where the universe takes me with this - I'll get people up on stage and give them readings and whoever comes through, comes through. I'm really excited about it, to be honest with you. I'm really over the moon; I can't wait."
Gillies was in Newcastle in March to talk about her first book, Shine It Up: The Inspirational True Story of Jackie Gillies, and loved every minute. She and Ben miss home, she says, and wouldn't mind working on baby number one while in town.

"Newy is my thing, Newy is my jam," she says. "Ben and I love Newy and we really miss it. Newcastle is magical - the beaches, the people, the water. It's just cruisy and chilled. We want to come back. And we're on the baby-making trail now so we're trying and that's exciting. I'll leave that in the universe's hands but what better way to try to shine that up than in Newy? [laughs]. A Newy baby would be very nice but I'm not going to put pressure on myself, like so many women tend to do. I'm leaving it in the universe's hands. What is meant to be will be."
Some of the proceeds from Shine It Up Live ticket sales will be going to help fund literacy and life-skill programs for young girls in the developing world through charity Room To Read. It's a cause close to her heart.

"Sometimes we forget, really we do, how blessed we are to have the right to a free education," Gillies says. "In third world countries they just don't have that and if there's no education they can't prosper and progress. I like that whenever I do a Shine It Up tour, I can give something back."
