Parque was developed by siblings Bernadette and Daniel Connolly and comprises the heritage-listed original Newcastle East Public School building, which remains a focus of the complex. The development's name is Spanish for playground as the new apartments were built on the site of the school's original playground.

First National Newcastle City are marketing the two-bedroom Parque apartment at 201/58C Bolton Street with a guide of $800,000 to $880,000. It is set for an on-site auction Saturday at 10.30am.
The majority of the 27 residences in the unique complex were sold off the plan.
The apartment offers a choice of living areas including a lounge, dining and sitting room with study nook. The master suite has a walk-in, ensuite and private balcony. It is positioned less than 200 metres from Newcastle beach.
At 12.45pm on Saturday, Walkom Real Estate's Kate Rundle will take a seven-bedroom home at 4 Nott Street in Merewether to auction on site with a guide of $2.3 million.
LJ Hooker Warners Bay sold three waterfront properties at auction on June 6. Agent Paul Campbell described the $1.03 million result for 20 Letchworth Parade in Balmoral's "sought-after" Secret Bay as "entry level" for waterfront. The agency also sold waterfront reserve homes at 155 Watkins Road, Wangi Wangi ($1.149 million) and 3 Centour Street, Balcolyn ($675,000) under the hammer.
