Knight Frank are marketing 21D School Drive through an expressions of interest campaign closing July 11.
The Newcastle Herald reported in 2014 that the $60 million development had been purpose-built for Midal Cables International and Knight Frank's Dan Barry indicated the property carried a price guide towards $12 million.
"It has a diverse market appeal between investors and owner-occupiers and we are anticipating out of area buyer interest from capital cities," Mr Frank said.
The facility has two large industrial warehouses with internal offices and mezzanine areas. Each warehouse includes overhead cranes, one with a loading dock. There is also a smaller metal clad workshop with associated offices plus car parking and the property is approximately 2.63 hectares in size.
Rare opportunity in Carrington
Construction has begun on what Commercial Collective's Byrne Tran has described as one of Carrington's most substantial and prominent commercial developments.
He is jointly marketing the Carrington Enterprise Centre at 37 Darling Street with Colliers International. It will comprise 56 commercial units and industrial storage spaces and is set to be delivered over two stages.
Two of 27 units remain in stage one, which is expected to be completed by August or September this year. Ten of 29 commercial style and industrial units in stage two have sold off the plan.
"They're selling well," Mr Tran said. "If you compare Carrington to residential real estate, it's the Bar Beach of the industrial market. Being on the city fringe gives people flexibility to purchase business units or storage units really close to the city without being in the city."
