BRANDY Hill trainer Sam Dimarco believes Black Silhouette can lead and improve again in her NSW Breeders Classic semi-final at Menangle Park on Saturday night.

Black Silhouette wil contest the second semi of the four-year-old mares series from gate eight chasing a top-five finish to make the group 1 final.
She was seventh in two- and three-year-old deciders but Dimarco said she had improved every season and was primed after two strong runs since resuming.
"She's in a little bit of a purple patch," Dimarco said.
"First run back, she ran a super time of 1:53:3 winning at Newcastle, and you don't see many go quicker there.
"Her next run in the Country series final, she sat outside the leader and was beaten only a few metres, and they ran a smart time."
He hoped top reinsman Todd McCarthy could find the front in the qualifier.
"I like to see her lead," he said. "She runs along in front and she'll make her own luck. I'll leave it up to Todd but she is a better horse in front. I think she can cross the horses inside her. The two with gate speed are outside."
Maitland driver Guy Chapple will steer Roclea Star for his son, Mitch, and Mister Finnigan for Singleton trainer Aaron Goadsby in the two-year-old male semis.
