SINGLETON has rallied around the Brittliffe Close family whose home was destroyed by fire on Wednesday, with more than $50,000 donated to a fundraiser in less than 12 hours.

A GoFundMe page established by a family friend about 10am had raised more than $50,000 as of 6pm last night, charging ahead of its $50,000 goal.
Donations poured in throughout the day from locals and people further afar.
"It is just heartbreaking," Caitlyn Stemmer, who started the fundraiser said.
"The family will need to rebuild their lives and home, any help will be forever appreciated."

Singleton mayor Sue Moore said the community's "thoughts and prayers" were with the 31-year-old mother and eight-year-old daughter who survived the fire.
"We are proud of our tight-knit community in Singleton, and a tragedy like this, particularly with children involved, will touch everyone in some way," she said.
"We will all band together to offer ongoing support to neighbours, schools and everyone in the wider community who have been affected.
"Again, I wish to highlight the bravery of the neighbours and emergency service workers who attended the scene, and support the efforts of the NSW Police, NSW Fire & Rescue and NSW Ambulance to provide the ongoing assistance they will no doubt need in the aftermath of this event.
"To everyone who has been touched by this tragedy, I offer our community's deepest sympathies."
