Petratos, the brother of Jets star Dimi, set up Sam Donnellan for two second-half goals in the round 15 Northern NSW NPL match at CB Complex before scoring himself in the 89th minute.
He ran three-quarters the length of the pitch before shooting from the edge of the penalty box to cement the three points.
Petratos has been a standout for the Jets Youth side this season and he was recently rewarded with a senior team scholarship.
"He's very frustrating because you just don't know what you're going to get, but he set up two goals and scored one today," Jets CEO and youth coach Lawrie McKinna said.
"He's got pace, he's strong and he's been quite good this season."
McKinna praised another scholarship recipient, Jack Simmons, who was injected into midfield with fellow Joeys training squad member Bailey Wells in the second half.
He said the pair made the difference for the Jets, who lost 2-1 last week to Edgeworth.
"It was a great result for the boys just to get that win," McKinna said.
"Last week against Edgeworth, we deserved something out of the game. We were quite comfortable."
Donnellan's goals were his first in the top grade.
"It's great for his confidence because he's played a few games now but that's his first couple of goals," McKinna said.
