The Knights scored a 36-18 victory in Auckland on May 5 but Kearney recalled that the game was a six-point "arm wrestle" until the visitors kicked clear with a Hymel Hunt try in the 66th minute.
"I didn't think we played our best footy," Kearney said of that game.
"They came here with a certain game style - kick the ball out, if you remember, and slowing the ruck up pretty consistently.
"So, as I said after that game, I thought we were outdone physically.
"We've got to be ready for that, and I think they've been playing some really good footy over the last month and a bit.
"They're defending really well and ... they're playing with a great deal of confidence."
The Warriors are chasing their fourth successive win away from home.
"We've got a game plan that if we execute well enough, we'll put ourselves right in the contest," Kearney said.
Kearney said his players were "hurting" after last week's golden-point loss to Penrith and were eager to bounce back.
