The development at 35 Honeysuckle Drive will include 92 luxury one, two and three-bedroom apartments and 1200 square metres of retail and commercial space.
Doma's director of development Newcastle Chris Farrington said Huntington will offer "a new way to experience the city's waterfront."
"As a working port, Newcastle has one of the most interesting and unique waterfront harbours in Australia," Mr Farrington said.
"Every aspect offers a very different outlook ranging from the yacht club to the west, industrial silos to the north and Nobby's Lighthouse to the east.
"At the centre of the growing Honeysuckle food and beverage precinct will be Huntington's six diverse restaurants and cafés, each providing a unique dining experience."

The eateries will range in size from 70 square metres to 250 square metres and some tenancies will include 100 square metres of outdoor dining as well.
"This development will be very different to anything previously delivered on Honeysuckle Drive ... We aim to leave a world-class dining precinct that everybody can enjoy," Mr Farrington said.
Half of the Huntington residences have already sold and Mr Farrington said construction was set to commence in the next 12 weeks.
Extensive green spaces and treescapes are woven throughout Huntington. Large balconies have been designed for residents to take full advantage of expansive waterfront views.
