Kennedy joined the Northern NSW NPL powerhouse three weeks ago and has been idle since.
Their clash with Maitland was postponed due to wet weather, they had the bye last round and incumbent Brad Swancott was given the nod as Jaffas "blew some cobwebs away" in a 5-2 win over Valentine at Edden Oval on Saturday.
However, coach James Pascoe confirmed afterwards that Kennedy would make his debut against the Bears and would share the role.
"There were eight games left before today and they will get four each," Pascoe said. "It won't necessarily be a week about. We will pick the right team for each to play against. It has been terrific. BK's presence has pushed Swanny on and likewise. BK has enjoyed it as well."
Braedyn Crowley scored the first and final goal as the Jaffas disposed of Valentine.
"It was our first game for a few weeks and we were a bit rusty," Pascoe said. "We conceded a couple of sloppy goals that were of our own doing. Still, any time you score five goals, you should be happy. We were a little bit too sharp in the front third for their backline. Braedyn Crowley and Luke Remington were really good."
The clash against Weston is the start of a tough run for the Jaffas.
"I think we have everyone above us from here on it," Pascoe said. "It is the third time we have had a spell between games this year. Prior to our byes we had washouts. It has been a real stop-start year for us. Whether we find our groove against the better teams will determine how far we go."
In the other game Saturday, a Jose Atayde strike from the edge of the box was the difference as Edgeworth spoiled Adamstown Rosebud's 130-year anniversary celebrations with a 1-0 win at Adamstown Oval.
