BEACHWATCH

OFFSHORE winds stronger and holding the faces up, making for a hard paddle onto the larger sets. Beach breaks are best while the tide is fuller but tending to close out during the afternoon low tide. Swell from the south at two metres to two metres. Wind freshening northwest to west. South-facing reefs handling it best. Sure to be a few out early. Nobbys reef and Flatrock during the morning's high tide; Burwood, Dudley and Catherine Hill Bay to the south; One Mile up at Port Stephens.Sweeps running to the north. The water is 16 degrees. - Dave Anderson
