STRIKE force police have charged two women with drug supply offences after a vehicle stop in New Lambton.

Police from the Criminal Groups Squad's Strike Force Raptor North and Newcastle police stopped a Holden Astra on Monash Road at New Lambton about 1pm on Tuesday.
They spoke with the driver, a 35-year-old woman, and her 24-year-old female passenger before they began a search of the vehicle.
Police will allege that search uncovered more than 8.6 grams of methamphetamine, a prescribed restricted substance, several goods suspected of being stolen and cash.
Officers arrested both women, taking them to Waratah police station.
The 35-year-old, who is from Adamstown, was charged with driving while disqualified - second offence, three counts of possess prohibited drug and supply prohibited drug.
She was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court on Wednesday.
The younger woman, of Lambton, was charged with supply prohibited drug, four counts of possess prohibited drug, three counts of goods in custody, possess prescribed restricted substance and deal with property proceeds of crime.
She received conditional bail and will face Newcastle Local Court on August 15.
Strike Force Raptor, established in 2009, conducts proactive investigations and works to dismantle any network engaged in serious organised criminal activity.
