A man has been charged over two alleged sexual offences on trains - one reportedly on the Wyee to Fassifern service - earlier this year.

Police arrested the 53-year-old at a home in the Sydney suburb of Glebe at midday on Tuesday.
Investigators allege the man performed sexual acts in front of rail passengers on two occasions - first on the Hornsby to Strathfield service at about 5pm on April 25 and then on the Wyee to Fassifern service at about 2.30pm on June 22.

Following inquiries by police attached to Operation Artemis, the man was taken to Newtown police station and charged with two counts of committing a sexual act without consent.
He was refused bail to face Newtown local court.
