She was part of the NSW side which finished fifth at the championships and played alongside fellow Hunter Academy of Sport athletes Marnie Robinson and Kalani Bates.
Turner Funk, who plays locally in Newcastle City's 17s girls' side and attends the Hunter School of Performing Arts, was the star performer during the week-long tournament.
The 15-year-old has played Auskick since she was six and is in her fifth season of girls' competition.
She recently told the Herald of her progression from forward pocket to midfield.
Meanwhile, Hunter Academy of Sport triathlete Sienna Kinder was recently named in the NSW Under 14 Cross Country team.
Kinder is among 112 athletes from across the state to have been selected to represent NSW at the 2019 Australian Cross Country Championships at Kembla Joggers Cross Country Park in Wollongong on Saturday, August 24.
