TEENAGE substitute Pat Langlois scored deep in extra-time to cap a famous come-from-behind 3-2 win by the Newcastle Jets over the Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park on Wednesday night and end an FFA Cup hoodoo.

The Jets appeared dead and buried when Andrew Nabbout scored his second goal in the 60th minute for a 2-0 advantage against his former club.
Johnny Koutroumbis breathed life into the tie in the 73rd minute with a long-range effort that took a slight deflection.
Then, with 10 minutes remaining, Dimi Petratos unleashed a thunderbolt with his left foot from the edge of the box to draw level.
The visitors had a golden chance to snatch the match in regulation time when replacement Abdiel Arroyo played Jason Hoffman into the box but he couldn't make solid contact.
In the end, the winner came from the most unlikely source.
Promoted to the senior squad this season, Langlois produced a piece of brilliance in the 113th minute.
Collecting a Petratos pass just inside the box, the defender-cum-midfielder turned, took a touch away from his defender and angled a right-foot shot into the left corner.
The goal was Langlois first at a senior level for the Jets in just his second appearance. He played 15 minutes in a 6-1 win over Brisbane in round 26 of the A-League last season.
It is only the second time the Jets have progressed to the round of 16 and the first time they have beaten an A-League rival in the history of the competition.
They will now meet Northern NSW NPL premiers Edgeworth for a place in the quarter-finals. The Eagles accounted for Darwin Olympic 3-0 a fortnight ago.
Despite the late drama, the Jets were deserved winners.
They had 53 per cent of possession, 61 per cent of territory, fired nine shots to three and won the corner count 9-2.
The further the game went, the more the Jets grew.
Petratos was outstanding, Steve Ugarkovic did a power of work in midfield and Nikolai Topor-Stanley was a tower of strength at the back.
Panamania striker Abdiel Arroyo was introduced in the 59th minute and looked lively. He had two shots on goal, created a chance for Hoffman and chased hard in defence
Nabbout gave Jets fans a stinging reminder of his pace and power with goals in the 46th and 60th minutes.
Both were reminiscent of the strikes he produced during two breakout seasons at the Jets.
He finished off a swift counter attack after a sloppy turnover by Matt Millar on the stroke of half time for the opener.
Then, 15 minutes into the second half, he danced into the box and somehow generated enough power with a flick of his right boot to beat keeper Lewis Italiano.
The 26-year-old would have had a hat-trick if not for having a goal pulled back for offside.
Just as the Jets looked down and out, they hit back.
In the 73rd minute, the ball fell to the feet of Koutroumbis and he pulled the trigger from 25 metres. The shot took a slight deflection and keeper Lawrence Thomas couldn't recover in time to stop it from lobbing into the net.
The keeper left the field with a leg injury in the 77th minute and before his replacement Matt Acton had a touch, the Jets were back on level terms.
Kaine Shepherd found Petratos on the edge of the box. The No.10 took a touch to his left and struck a fierce drive which arrowed into the left corner.
As expected Angus Thurgate partnered Steve Ugarkovic in the centre of midfield in a Jets outfit that included new faces Millar (right back) and Nick Fitzgerald (right wing).
Nabbout, veteran Leigh Broxham, stopper Thomas Deng and Thomas spearheaded a young Victory side.
In other round-of-32 matches on Wednesday, cup holders Adelaide United accounted for Victorian NPL side Melbourne Knights 5-2 at Somers Street, Brisbane Roar stunned Sydney FC 2-0 at Jubilee Oval, Wellington Phoenix went down on penalties 4-2 to Brisbane strikers after the scored were locked at 2-all after extra-time and Western Sydney Wanderers edged Perth 2-1 in extra time in Perth.
