Morisset teenager Jack Callaghan extended his lead in the Newcastle drivers' premiership with a close victory aboard Our Sequel on Monday.

The 17-year-old, fresh from a winning treble on Saturday night at the track, took the KerryAnn Morris-trained Our Sequel forward from the start to sit outside the Roy Roots jnr-trained Tinted Lass.
The pair battled it out down the straight before Our Sequel scored by a head in a time of 1:57:6. It was the three-year-old's fifth win on the trot.
Callaghan, who was having his first drive of the pacer, went to 42 wins for the season at Newcastle with three meetings remaining. He leads Josh Gallagher, who has 36.
A premiership win will cap a remarkable first full season of race driving for Callaghan.
His father, Mark, won the trainers' premiership at Newcastle for the first time last season.
Our Sequel was part of a winning double for Morris, who earlier trained three-year-old colt Tretyakov to victory.
Louth Park trainer Darren Elder and driver Brad Elder opened the meeting with a win on two-year-old filly Arna, which is owned by Newcastle golfing identity Jack Newton. The half-neck win in 1:59:2 was her first in four career starts.
Maitland trainer-driver Bill Buckley was another winner, taking out the second with three-year-old gelding Battlecraft, which was having just his second start.
