Miss Streisand was fifth in the 3YO fillies and Pitch Perfect third in the 3YO male qualifiers on Saturday night at Bendigo to book their spots in the group 1 finals this Saturday. Miss Streisand drew one and Pitch Perfect the inside of the back row.
Roots jnr's High Rolling was second in the group 3 mares graduate race and will next take on group 2 company. Stablemate The Black Prince will compete in the group 2 4YO male final.
At Newcastle Friday night, KerryAnn Morris extended her lead in the trainers' premiership with wins from Santannas Rocket and Watchful Lady. Morris went to 32 wins, two ahead of Roots jnr, who had a victory on the night with Tinted Lass.
Clayton Harmey went to 29 with Western Heir saluting.
Jack Callaghan moved to 44 and an eight-win lead in the drivers' title with a double aboard Johnny White and Courageous Dancer for his father, Mark.
