BEACH WATCH
We are in for a few interesting days with a big low down in the Tasman to generate a large and powerful swell. Surf is looking good for today with freshening offshore winds but once again it will only be the south facing reefs handling conditions. Swell from the south at 2 to 3m. Wind north-west to west.

Shallow low tide for the early and a hard paddle with sweeps to the north. Merewether the likely option and sure to be a few out.Try Nobbys Reef if not too windy and Flatrock on high. Burwood, Dudley and Caves to the south. One Mile and Seals Rocks to the north. Poor swimming conditions with heavy shorebreaks on the midday high. Best to swim in ocean baths as some beaches may close. Water temp 15C. -Dave Anderson
