Former Davis Cup player Sam Groth and retired Newcastle professionals Rachel McQuillan and Trudi Musgrave will take part in a special pro-am event at Tennis Central at Belmont on Friday night.

Groth, who reached a career-high singles ranking of 53, will make a guest appearance as the NSW country tennis ambassador.
The event will celebrate Tennis Central's success in being named the 2018 Tennis NSW country club of the year.
Tennis Central co-owner and head coach Michael Watts said it was the first time a club in the Hunter region had won the award.
"I believe I've got Rachel McQuillan coming out to hit a few balls and Trudi Musgrave as well," Watts said of the pro-am. "But it's more about our club players getting a hit with them and celebrating the club."
