The side lost only one of six matches during the tournament, held at Ironbark in Victoria last week, but it was to a red-hot Queensland side that did not lose a match.
The NSW girls finished on 16 points - two points behind Queensland - in the points-decided tournament.
Three students from the Hunter School Sports Association were in the NSW side: Alice Tayler (Hunter School of Performing Arts), Lily Atkins (Tinonee PS) and Lucy Pearce (Hallidays Point PS).
They were joined by Sydney North School Sports Association representative Tori Adamson (Gwandalan PS).
Coach Thea O'Sullivan, of Caves Beach Public School, said the girls put in an outstanding effort throughout the tournament and were unlucky not to come away with a gold medal.
While the side lost 4-1 to Queensland, the girls displayed their skills with a couple of huge victories over Victoria (6-0) and South Australia (7-0).
BILL TURNER FOOTBALL FINALS
HUNTER Sport High School's boys and girls soccer sides have qualified for the semi-finals of the Bill Turner football competitions.
The longstanding 15-years-and-under knock-out tournaments are contested by schools from Cairns to Melbourne.
The national finals series, which features the four remaining teams of each competition, will be held at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in Speers Point next month.
In the Bill Turner Cup (boys), Hunter Sports High will face Ipswich Grammar. Hunter Sports High's last appearance in the finals series was in 2014 when they lost 4-0 to Brisbane's Cavendish Road State High in the final.
In the other semi-final, the highly fancied Westfields Sports High School will Endeavour Sports High.
Hunter Sports High will take on Cairns State High in the first semi-final of the Bill Turner Trophy (girls), while in the second semi Westfields Sports High play Illawarra Sports High.
