The Boys Studio, located on Maitland Road in Mayfield West, is the destination for all things GLAM, hair and makeup.

Dean and Mitch, are not only partners in business but also in life and have shared a vision for The Boys Studio from the beginning of their relationship 12 years ago.

The journey along the way has seen both Dean and Mitch work alongside some of the worlds industry leaders and represent brands that are internationally recognised - gathering skills from their mentors to develop their own style and own techniques.

Drawing inspiration from fashion, music and culture, The Boys are passionate about bringing world class makeup and hair that is empowering and personal to each and everyone.

The Boys also love giving back and being socially responsible.

"We work very hard to be involved in the community of Newcastle and also our commitments to giving back through utilising our brand, business and passion," Dean said. "We have created a niche in the market of Newcastle by offering our Glam Bars to charity events and balls that let us to touch people in a way we could never in our Studio environment

"We consider this the new 'Photo Booth' but with heart and connection through our love of makeup and hair, but also through our love of people and making them smile."

For both Dean and Mitch makeup and hair is about "connection and how you make someone feel".

"There are plenty of makeup and hairdressers out in the world," Dean said.

"But the ones that connect with the client and have a real genuine appreciation are the ones that you will always remember.

"And this is what we are all about - giving heart and soul to our work to empower that individual."

Even though the brand is quite young, The Boys are eager to continue to leave their footprint, and commit to delivering innovative ideas to keep it fresh.

"We are so lucky to be collaborating with Westfield Kotara to deliver two master classes spreading over the months of September and October," Dean said.

The Boys' first master class at Westfield is on September 12 , and the second on October 24.

"We cannot wait to be there for our first ever master class together," Dean said.

"We are going to showcase beautiful makeup and hair in a way to inspire everyone who attends to be able to replicate this at home with new confidence.

"This is for the beauty, hair, makeup lover - no skill is required at all - if you love makeup, love hair, and love anything CAMP - this is for you."
