Police, guests and staff who sought shelter from fires at O'Reilly's Guest House have been safely evacuated as authorities warn strong winds could intensify a nearby blaze.

Several schools in the region will be closed on Tuesday as bushfires continue to pose a threat.
Unpredictable winds created challenging conditions for firefighters in the once-lush Lamington National Park on Monday.
Winds grounded aircraft for periods as emergency crews urged people to immediately leave O'Reilly, another rainforest area in the path of fires.
About 100 police, guests and staff were safely evacuated from O'Reilly's Guest House at Canungra on Monday night amidst renewed warnings.
Strong winds were expected to increase from midnight - potentially causing fire to intensify and spread quickly.
QFES on Monday night warned fire was approaching Lamington National Park Road at O'Reilly and leaving immediately was the safest option.
Residents in Lower Beechmont were also told that if they didn't have a plan, their safest option was to leave.
Education Minister Grace Grace on Monday night announced Numbinah Valley, Canungra and St Bernard state schools and Numinbah Environmental Educational Centre would be closed the following day.
These schools are in addition to Beechmont State School which remains closed.
"These schools are in the danger zone associated with the Sarabah Valley fires, with worsening conditions expected overnight and very thick smoke through the valley tomorrow," Ms Grace said in a statement.
Acting Fire Commissioner Mike Wassing previously said the situation was "dynamic" because of the unpredictable winds.
The warnings came after police escorted some evacuated Gold Coast hinterland residents back to their properties for their first glimpse at homes decimated by bushfire at the weekend.
Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen said a small convoy of evacuees from the Binna Burra and Sarabah areas were allowed to return home on Sunday to check on animals and get medications.
Cr Christensen said the residents had been warned their homes were gone but that this was the first time they could assess the damage.
"One or two of those found property loss," he told AAP on Monday.
"However they had been told when they went in, so they were prepared for that."
Eleven homes and the historic Binna Burra Lodge have been destroyed in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Cr Christensen said the strong winds are still making the situation "exceedingly volatile", and warned displaced people that it was still not safe to go home.
About 190 people have registered as evacuees. They are all staying with friends or people in the hinterland community who have opened their homes.
Cr Christensen said another urgent focus on Monday was to get fodder to hungry livestock.
"I do know there have been some substantial livestock losses ... I don't have an estimate of numbers yet," he said.
An RSPCA vet will also arrive in the area on Monday to help treat injured animals.
