Incoming coach Anthony Richards said Oxborrow informed the club he was not returning next season. Lambton Jaffas are believed to be his likely new club.
Oxborrow played six games for Broadmeadow in 2017 before securing a deal with Roar. He returned part-way through 2018 and helped Magic claim the grand final. He played the entire 2019 season, which ended with a finals loss on away goals to Maitland on Sunday.
Richards, who is taking over from Ruben Zadkovich, said Oxborrow would be a big loss for Magic but they wished him all the best.
Piddington and Broadley are retiring and Jon Griffiths' playing future is uncertain because of a heart condition, but Richards was hopeful of keeping the rest of his squad.
He also confirmed Tom Smart was returning to the club. The defender played at Magic before stints at Jaffas, Lake Macquarie and Blues.
** Hamilton have strengthened their attack and defence with the recruitment of striker Dino Fajkovic and goalkeeper Kane Runge.
Fajkovic, who was at the Gunners this season, started at Hamilton before playing at South Cardiff, Jaffas, Jets Youth and Magic. Runge returns to the area from Dandenong after previously playing with the Mariners and Jets Youth, and Weston.
** In-form keeper Brad Swancott could be seen again in the NNSW NPL.
Swancott, 40, was retiring but Jaffas coach James Pascoe said after the finals loss to Edgeworth on Saturday that he could be a back-up to Ben Kennedy in 2020.
Swancott was already remaining involved with Jaffas as part of the coaching team.
