Boutique apartment living has proven popular in Lambton with GWH development 121Elder reaching a new milestone through the week. The development will comprise 15 apartments on the site of the former Snake Gully Hotel and reached 70 per cent sold this week with the $890,000 purchase of the final top floor apartment. 121Elder is a mix of one, two and three-bedroom residences and will have four apartments on the top floor. GWH managing director Jonathan Craig said "selling out of our top-floor apartments showcases the confidence purchasers have in GWH, 121Elder and equally, in the value of Lambton". According to Australian Property Monitors data, Lambton is on track to registering growth in the median price of apartments for the fifth consecutive calendar year. Mr Craig said the Lambton development offered residents "lifestyle" as well as secure and sophisticated apartment living. Related content: It is positioned at the heart of Lambton, close to Elder Street cafes, boutique retail, Lambton village plus Lambton Park, Lambton library and Lambton Pool all within walking distance. Construction on the development began in July and top-out is scheduled before the end of the year. Purchasers are expected to be moving in by autumn 2020. This week the ground floor concrete was poured and the second installation of precast panels for the development were completed. 121Elder's panels have been produced and installed by Hunter Precast and Hunter Install respectively. Mr Craig said their "long-standing strategic partnerships gives control of the construction supply chain ensuring unprecedented transparency across all commercial, industrial and residential projects". "It also affords us the ability to provide extraordinary architectural solutions," he said. The complex will be built on the corner of Elder and Grainger streets and will feature two resident only alfresco areas - a barbecue and entertaining courtyard on ground floor and a rooftop viewing deck. The remaining apartments begin from $615,000. There will also be three retail suites on ground level in the development.
