The accolades keep on coming for popular cafe/restaurant Table 1 Espresso, as they notch up yet another achievement as finalist in tonight's Hunter Local Business Awards for Cafe of the Year.
The much loved and frequently talked about cafe opened its second location in Warners Bay 2 years ago, after the phenomenal success of its Merewether cafe and perhaps not surprisingly is proving that Table 1 Espresso is continuing to serve up award worthy dishes.
From it's to die for pancakes and waffles to desserts that will satisfy even the sweetest of teeth, there literally is something for every appetite to indulge in.
Breakfast and lunch menus offer classic dishes and a great wine list, making it the perfect spot to linger longer for a weekend lunch with family or friends..
While owner George James is no stranger to receiving awards, with the highly coveted title of Most Outstanding Cafe Australia, he still take nothing for granted.
"It's very surreal to be announced as a finalist in these awards, I still can't quite believe it.
"We are continually working to give our customers exquisite food and a great atmosphere to enjoy it in and so it's fantastic to receive this recognition."
Probably best known for possible the sweetest menu in the Hunter region, the menu is extremely diverse, offering exceptional dishes such Persian eggs, Morrocan inspired dishes and Indian flavours, all presented in a style that wouldn't look out of place in a fine dining restaurant.
With over 19,000 instagram followers lapping up the mouth watering images that capture everything that Table 1 Espresso is best known and loved for, George and his team take pride in every plate that leaves the kitchen.
"It's the little things that make you stand out, so making sure that every detail is right, every dish is the best it can be is what makes us successful and keeps the customers coming back for more," adds George.
Complementing his commitment to detail is his hard working team, who he says, is the reason he believes in the importance of entering business awards.
"These awards are all about the staff. My team are super stars and the awards we receive are recognition for everything they do for the business, it's all about them.
"From the girls I have working to keep our social media platforms up to date to the kitchen staff and everyone front of house, I congratulate them all, they are a joy to work with and make every day a pleasure." He concluded.
Table 1 Espresso is open from 7am to 3pm seven days a week and is located at the Esplanade, Warners Bay and City Road in Merewether.
