Police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash involving a care and a truck near the intersection of Anderson Drive the New England Highway just after 12pm.
Paramedics tended to the driver, who had been confined in her vehicle as a result of the crash, but she was understood to have escaped serious injury.
A spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said the woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, with minor injuries.
Traffic was Traffic is affected in both directions away from the scene, near the Palm Valley Motel before the road re-opened around 1pm.
The NSW Transport Management Centre has advised drivers in the area to exercise caution and allow extra time.
