Country NSW are handling the case and have yet to hand down their ruling, but Price faces suspension for club duties with Wallsend on Saturday and a T20 Regional Bash double header on Sunday.
Price was cited by umpire Kim Norris for an on-field incident during Sunday's T20 Regional Bash opener between the Newcastle Blasters and the Lake Mac Attack at Waratah Oval.
Price, leading the Blasters in the annual state tournament, had words with Norris after having a run out turned down.
The Attack were two wickets down, at the time, in pursuit of 102 for victory and eventually reached the target without anymore loss in 15.1 overs.
Price's prior good record may be taken into account, having not fronted the Newcastle District Cricket Association judiciary previously.
He also apologised to Norris at the ground.
Preliminary rounds of the T20 Regional Bash continue on the Central Coast this weekend with the Blasters and Attack vying for a finals spot at the SCG.
Newcastle's best XI, due to be named early next week, are also scheduled to play against the Canberra Comets on October 24 as a curtain raiser to the Prime Minister's XI hosting Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval.
Wallsend are at home to Wests in Saturday's second round.
