The Attack, who started in 2018-2019 giving Newcastle District Cricket Association two spots in the annual NSW Country tournament, won both games in Sunday's double header on the Central Coast to remain undefeated in the preliminary rounds and top their pool to book a finals berth.
Lake Mac defeated hosts and reigning champions the Rush by 18 runs in the afternoon having successfully defended 8-135. Earlier they chased down Hunter Hitmen's 83 for the loss of four wickets in 13.1 overs. Both matches were played at Sohier Park.
All-rounder Nathan Hudson was the best performer for the Attack, scoring a collective 62 runs off 56 balls and taking a combined 4-30 from 6.1 overs.
The Blasters bounced back to be victorious in both of their fixtures at Baker Park on Sunday, beating the Central Coast in a super over after the initial scores were tied at 5-136.
This was followed by a six-wicket win against Hunter (6-121), reaching the target with 2.5 overs left.
Representative selectors will this week name a best XI, known as the Newcastle Steel, for the PM's XI curtain-raiser against the Canberra Comets at Manuka Oval on Thursday.
