A CESSNOCK man will face court on Monday after allegedly smashing the glass door to a government building in Vincent Street.

Police arrested the man after he allegedly broke into the building by throwing items at the glass door before kicking it until the glass shattered.
It is alleged he entered the building, caused minor damage to the foyer and left.
Hunter Valley police attended and began an investigation. They arrested a man, 39, in a nearby supermarket car park about 5.40pm on Sunday after a short struggle with police.
The man was charged with break and enter, resist police and destroy or damage property.
He was refused bail to face Newcastle Local Court.
