Mr Roberts, the organisation's former chief executive, was leaving the property under police direction when protesters rushed and stood in front of his car. One of the protesters claimed Mr Roberts had run him over.
Mr Roberts was charged and found guilty of assault in Newcastle Local Court.
However the finding was overturned on appeal in the District Court last week.
"The judgement delivered was both succinct and decisive. The quashing of the local court orders was without reservation and is an unequivocal victory for Mr Roberts," Solicitor Greg McInnes said.
Mr Roberts thanked his family, legal team and supporters.
"I am pleased this matter has been finalised and vindicates my position," he said.
Mr Roberts is no longer involved with the Land Council.
