Since launching in 2018 on ABC Kids Bluey has become arguably the hottest children's TV show in Australia. The cartoon depicts the Heeler family of Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli and involves elaborate games and promotes imaginary play.
In June Disney signed a distribution deal to screen the show globally. The dates and venues for Bluey's Big Play won't be released until mid-February when tickets go on sale, but parents can register to join the wait list.
ARCHIE CHARTS
ARCHIE Roach has long been considered an Australian treasure, but commercial success has been elusive. After four decades in music the Indigenous folk legend and activist scored his first top-10 album this week when his latest release Tell Me Why debuted at No.7.
Tell Me Why was released to coincide with a memoir of the same name that chronicles Roach's 63 years from being taken from his parents in the Stolen Generation through to becoming one of the most iconic Indigenous musicians in Australia.
CRICKET TO ROAR
WE don't know if Katy Perry likes cricket, but the US pop superstar is coming to the MCG on March 8 to perform at the Women's Twenty20 World Cup Final. However, it won't be the first time the Roar and Teenage Dream hit-maker has been involved in cricket.
Back in 2012 Perry found herself in hot water when she appeared on stage at the launch of the Indian Premier League with ex-Australian bowler Doug Bollinger. During the appearance Bollinger put his arms around Perry to teach her how to hold a cricket bat, which led to claims of "indecency".
KHALID CONFIRMED
THE ARIAs continue to heat up with US R'n'B star Khalid joining pop divas Dua Lipa and Halsey on the international guest list at the November 27 awards. Khalid, who is best known for his hit Young Dumb & Broke, will perform on the night. There will also be performances from Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, The Teskey Brothers and Tones and I.
