Anderson, 27, will finish below the cutline in the World Surf League women's qualifying series rankings despite picking up 2650 points for her latest efforts at Birubi Beach and improving six positions to 14th.
She now has 11,630 points overall, but sits too far behind eighth-placed Amuro Tsuzuki (14,080) with only one QS event (1500) remaining in Peru in December.
Anderson was knocked out by Isabella Nichols (23,900), who now leads the QS standings after beating Macy Callaghan (14,900) in the Port Stephens Pro decider worth 6000 points.
Local wildcard Jasmine Sampson lost in round four.
Meanwhile, Merewether's Morgan Ciblic continued his bid to make next year's championship tour after finishing second in his round-two heat at the Hawaiian Pro on Sunday (AEST).
His 13.07 was behind fellow Australian surfer Ethan Ewing (15.94) but in front of Hawaiian pair Ian Gentil (12) and Coconut Willie (7.6).
Ciblic, 20, was 16th on the WSL men's qualifying series rankings and 2900 behind the cutline before this current 10,000-point event.
He has been pitted against Willian Cardoso, Leonardo Fioravanti and Nolan Rapoza in round thee.
Merewether championship tour surfer Ryan Callinan is set to join the Hawaiian Pro action at the end of the third round.
