Getting to the Supercars
TRAINS
Trains every half hour from Sydney to Newcastle Interchange every hour. Return services similar.
Buses replace trains between Scone/Dungog and Maitland to ensure more frequent services from Maitland. Extra trains leave Maitland for Newcastle Interchange every 20-30 minutes between 6am and midday.
Extra trains leave Newcastle Interchange for Maitland every 20-30 minutes between 4pm and 11pm.
LIGHT RAIL
Services running between Newcastle Interchange and Queens Wharf light rail stop from about 5am to 1am each day. Sunday: Trams every 7.5 minutes between 7am and 8pm.
Crown Street light rail stop closed between 5.30pm and 8pm Sunday for safety.
PARK AND RIDE
Shuttle buses from McDonald Jones Stadium to Honeysuckle every 10 minutes between 6.30am and 2pm with return services from 2pm to 7pm. Sunday services the same hours but return buses extended to 8pm.
BUSES
Routes 11, 13, 14 and 21 to stop at Bolton Street between King and Church streets instead of Customs House.
Extra buses will run between Jesmond and Newcastle (11), Wallsend and Newcastle (12), Glendale and Newcastle (13) and Swansea Heads and Newcastle (14) on Sunday morning and afternoon.
FERRY
Ferries every 10 minutes between Stockton Wharf and Queens Wharf from 5.20am to 10pm Sunday.
Extra vehicle parking available near Stockton Wharf for gold coin donation.
