McLaren leads the way with nine wickets in 2019-20, striking multiple times in each of her four outings since October 30.
She kicked off proceedings with 3-7 from 2.4 overs against Hamilton-Wickham at Passmore Oval before backing it up with combined figures of 4-18 from seven overs in the last couple of rounds against City and Wests.
In between times, she has picked up a further four wickets lining up for Merewether in the NDCA social and development league (senior fifth grade competition) the previous two Saturday afternoons.
McLaren's teammates Meaghan MacDonald and Emma Jayne have both claimed hat-tricks during the women's T20 league.
Her highest score with the bat was 12 in the opening round.
Waratah's Kate Handley has made 79 runs overall, including a best effort of 54 not out, and has yet to be dismissed.
City remain undefeated and automatically qualified for the decider, which is scheduled to start at 5pm.
