Mark Kentwell and Natalie Tonks, of PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, have listed 'Stella Maris' at 68 Memorial Drive. It is set for auction in the new year and while a price guide has not been disclosed the property would be considered one of the most significant to come to market this year.
It was built circa 1926 as a boarding house for merchant seamen then became four flats until an architectural renovation and extension by Jon Webber was completed in 2016.
The home retains its Spanish Art Deco features with arch windows but offers contemporary luxury throughout. It is set out over three levels with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a bespoke kitchen, top-floor master suite and an internal lift. There is a gas-heated pool and "24-hour views" with a coastal aspect as well as an expansive city outlook.
"It is one of those homes that delivers just as much on the inside as it offers from the outside," Mr Kentwell said.
It will be open on Saturday but registrations are needed to attend.
