At about 9am, officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District sectors attended a home on Warraba Road, The Branch, and spoke with a 36-year-old man.
Police executed a search warrant at the property where they allegedly located and seized more than 11 kilograms of hydroponic cannabis, several cannabis plants, two hydroponic cannabis setups and drug paraphernalia.
Police said it was estimated the street value of the cannabis seized was more than $150,000.
The 36-year-old man was issued with a court attendance notice for the offences of cultivate prohibited plant, possess prohibited plant, possess prohibited drug and supply an indictable quantity of prohibited drug.
He is due to face Dungog Local Court on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
