Maryville's first sale of the year was one of its highest on record and this inner city suburb looks set to close 2019 in similar fashion.

Harcourts Newcastle have registered two million-dollar sales in Maryville in the past week. They sold a four-bedroom home with a pool on a double-sized block at 64 Lewis Street on November 29 for $1.035 million then a brand new four-bedroom house at 1 Northumberland Street for $1.25 million on Monday.
The latter sale is the equal second-highest for the year after First National sold 14 McMichael Street for the same price in January. A suburb high $1.6 million for 84 Estell Street was recorded in July.

David Podmore, of Ren Property, has reported the quick sale of a refurbished five-bedroom, three-bathroom brick home on 1500 square metres of land at 96 Aries Way in Elermore Vale. It generated a good response and he put up the sold sticker at the same time the property's first inspection was scheduled. The sale price was $898,000.
PRDnationwide Newcastle and Lake Macquarie's Jesse Wilton reported the $1 million off-market sale of a three-bedroom townhouse in The Aventine on The Hill at 5/23 Church Street. It had previously been marketed by another agency during the market downturn but Mr Wilton said it sold after five days.
Both penthouses in Victory Toronto, which is being sold off the plan through LJ Hooker and will be built at 34-36 Victory Parade, have been secured for over $1 million.
In all, five apartments have been sold of 19 on offer.
A five-bedroom home on a sloping block nearly 1000 square metres in size at 5 Whiley Close in Merewether has sold for $1.22 million. It was marketed by Raine & Horne Newcastle & Stockton.
