Dinner to go
Not long ago Marks Point Post Office & Cafe opened for dinner and now it is offering takeaway dinners from the restaurant menu. Simply phone 4945 0553 to place your order.
Fine chocolate
Myrtle & Pepper Fine Chocolate's metallic-looking chocolate Christmas tree caught Food & Wine's eye. It's made with their award-winning lemon myrtle and pink lake salt milk chocolate. You can order online (be very quick) or visit The Icky Sticky Patisserie in Lorn this weekend.
Festive salads
Mama-P at Charlestown is busy preparing some colourful - and healthy - salad platters for Christmas entertaining at home. They're vegan, plant-based and gluten free, plus they're packed in a compostable box. Their custom-made cakes are also a thing of beauty.
Lunch on the run
A new sandwich shop has opened in Newcastle. It's called Bread & Butter and it can be found at 553 Hunter Street. It's open weekdays, 8am to 2.30pm.
