Surf conditions to start off clean before a quick moving Southerly change works it's way up the coast by late morning. Midday high tide not quite as big suiting most beaches.Swell from the S/E to South 1m increasing to 1.5m. Wind North to N/W freshening South. Tides low first up with banks off Newcastle Beach, South Bar, Cliff and Dixon. Try Cowrie from mid morning and Bar Reef on high. Redhead, Frenchmans and Birdie to the south. Birubi and Treachery to the north. Waters cleaned up and slight sweeps in southern corners. Stay between the red and yellow flags if going for a swim. Water temps 20C. - Dave Anderson

Winds Northerly 15 to 20 knots turning west to northwesterly 10 to 15 knots in the early morning. A southerly change at 15 to 25 knots moving through in the late morning, easing to 10 to 15 knots in the evening.
